Story:
The "Love Letters" tee is rooted in my parents’ personal story. In the early 80s, my father worked at Habib Bank in Jhelum while my mother was based in Karachi. In search for new opportunities for the future of their family, my father left Pakistan in 1986 alone, without my mother and my siblings.
While he was apart, my father wrote hand-written letters in Urdu to my mom asking how her day went, reminding her to eat, telling small reassurances that even from afar, they were close. In this post, you'll see an actual photo of some of those handwritten letters he wrote my mom.
This tee is for all the families who’ve lived this familiar story. New beginnings were made out of hope, love, and distance. It's for their children who now carry those stories forward the best ways they can.
